Neighborhood Restaurants
Northeast Social
The Northeast Social is located in the heart of the art district on historical 13th Ave. in Northeast Minneapolis.
Northeast Social is an American contemporary style restaurant with a farm-to-fork agenda. The Northeast Social is inspired by our love for travel. You may feel a touch of Paris, with a little southern hospitality, and a pinch of Minnesota nice.
Young Joni
Young Joni is James Beard award-winning chef Ann Kim's restaurant located in Northeast Minneapolis. The menu is inspired by wood fire cooking and features a diverse array of globally influenced dishes and signature pizzas.
Tucked discreetly behind the restaurant is the back bar, serving craft cocktails, pizzas and analog vibes in a warm setting. Take a walk down the alley alongside Young Joni and look for the red light. When the light is on, the back bar is open.
The Anchor Fish & Chips
Fully authentic Fish & Chipper dishing up all fresh ingredients with Alaskan Cod & Hand Cut Chips. Other menu items include Shepherds Pies, Grass Fed Burgers, Meat & Veggie Pasties, and more. Irish & local beer & cider for outdoor dining or take-away; along with delicious west coast wines & Prosecco on Tap to accompany your food. Sláinte!
Minari
Chef Jeff Watson and his team combine influences of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other cuisines in an array of small and large plates, dim sum and cocktails in a beautiful atmosphere.
The food is what Watson has been dreaming about for years. Beef tartare is dressed with ssamjang and Asian pear, dolled up in fresh herbs and salmon roe that glistens like jewels. Long beans are piled up in a little dish, dotted with sesame seeds and seasoning. Hirame crudo is diced and served with green lime leaf oil and Thai basil under a crunchy rice cracker lattice. Sunset-colored ramyeon noodles are made fresh in house, served with gobs of crab. And then there are the dim sum dishes. Squid-ink colored dumplings are stuffed with pork and shrimp, just one of the dishes that will be wheeled through the dining room.
Dining Room Open 5-10 PM Daily

Vinai
Vinai the restaurant (pronounced VEE-nye) is named after the Ban Vinai Refugee Camp in Thailand— the place where Chef Yia Vang’s parents met and the place he was born. Ban Vinai, the refugee camp, served as a place of safety, reunification, and restoration.
Vinai, the restaurant, serves as a love letter from Yia to his parents. It serves as an homage to Hmong culture and history. And it serves as a place of restoration, a place where we invite you to celebrate, honor, and illuminate stories of your own through the universal language of food.
Oro by Nixta
From Co-Owners Kate and Gustavo Romero:
Heirloom corn tortillas have been our dream for many years. Not to be corny, but in a Proustian way (or like that scene in Ratatouille!) tasting a good tortilla has a tendency to transport us from Minnesota back to Mexico almost instantaneously.
Nixta is the realization of our shared dream, a family partnership and food friendships culminating in a humble tortilla sure to remind that ingredients and process matter.
Finally, we love tacos. The surefire way to make them better is to give them a solid foundation. Also, we just want you to eat damn good tortillas. And tamales. And salsas. And other Mexican vittles.
La Boulangerie Marguerite
La Boulangerie Marguerite (or Marguerite's, for short) began as an invitation to bring a new identity and presence to our 100-year old established neighborhood bakery on Randolph Avenue in St. Paul.
In 2023, Marguerite's established a second location in Northeast Minneapolis. In addition to the tried and true products of previous years, you can enjoy Francois and Melissa's French- Flair inspired artisan goods in the heart of the Arts District.
Whether selecting fan favorites from St. Paul, or indulging in new savory menu items from our Minneapolis cafe, we have a delight in store for you. Welcome in for pastries and presence in a friendly neighborhood atmosphere.
We look forward to meeting you.
