On May 25 2020, Regina Marie Williams began to capture moments of pain and promise at the intersection of 38th and Chicago. TWELVE BLOCKS FROM WHERE I LIVE features photos and songs attempting to capture a profound Minneapolis moment that catapulted a national movement. Featuring performances by Aimee K. Bryant, Thomasina Petrus, Regina Marie Williams, and Sanford Moore.

Sanford Moore is a composer, pianist, arranger and producer. He is perhaps most noted as the founder, director and arranger for the award-winning vocal jazz ensemble Moore by Four. He has traveled extensively with his ensemble doing concerts and workshops in the US, Europe and Japan, and has shared the stage with such notable jazz artists as Bobby McFerrin, Harry Connick, Jr., the late Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughn, Dizzy Gillespie and Carmen McRae. In addition to his work with Moore by Four, Moore is sought after as a musical director, arranger and composer. He is currently Musical Director for Penumbra Theatre, musical directing Girl Shakes Loose, By the Way, Meet Vera Stark, Ballad of Emmet Till, The Amen Corner, Black Pearl Sings, Black Nativity, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Get Ready and Dinah Was. Other Musical Directing credits include, Smokey Joe’s Café at the Ordway Music Theater; The Wiz, Last Stop on Market Street, Three Little Birds at Children’s Theatre; Disgraced (composer), Parchman Hour, To Kill a Mockingbird, Choir Boy, Crowns at the Guthrie Theater; Thunder Knocking at the Door at Ten Thousand Things; Two Queens, One Castle, Black Belts I, II & III, at Mixed Blood Theatre; Nina Simone: Four Women at Park Square Theater and Pillsbury House; co-creator of the musical revue Always and Forever at Illusion Theater; and co-creator of When a Man Loves a Diva at The Lab Theater. Thomasina Petrus has recently enjoyed a wildly successful run of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill at the JUNGLE THEATER, channeling legend, Billy Holiday. Her stage credits include Black Nativity, Diva Daughters Dupree, Ain't Misbehavin' and Amen Corner with PENUMBRA THEATRE, Constant Star, Gee's Bend and To Kill a Mockingbird with PARK SQUARE THEATRE, Daughters of Africa, Two Queens One Castle and Point of Review with MIXED BLOOD, Amen Corner, Caroline or Change with GUTHRIE THEATRE. Thomasina has also given outstanding performances on the stages of TEN THOUSAND THINGS THEATER, ORDWAY MUSIC THEATER, THEATER LATTE DA, CHANHASSEN DINNER THEATRE, CAPRU THEATER and OLD ARIZONA THEATER. AWARDS 2016-17 McKnight Theater Artist Fellowship Award Winner 2016.

Kelli Foster Warder THEATER LATTÉ DA: Chicago, Ragtime, Five Points, Once, Our Town. Kelli is grateful to have worked at the 5th Avenue in Seattle, Asolo Rep in Florida, The Zach Theatre in Austin and as a performer at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Theater for the Thirsty, Artistry and Ruby’s Cabaret. She has worked as a choreographer, teacher, diversity coordinator, and has directed and choreographed internationally in La Paz, Bolivia and Panama City, Panama. Kelli is currently the Director of Education & Producing Associate at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.Nicholas Tranby (Sound Designer & Engineer) is a freelance sound engineer and designer based in Minneapolis. Other Theater Latté Da projects include: Chicago, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Candide, A Little Night Music, Man of La Mancha, Peter and the Starcatcher, Ragtime, Gypsy, Assassins, Five Points, and Underneath the Lintel. He was the Sound, Video and Lighting Associate at Children’s Theatre Company for 4 years; while there he was Associate Sound Designer for Shrek: The Musical, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland and Robin Hood. Head Audio Engineer for international tours of The Wedding Singer and The Wizard of Oz. Other venues have included Guthrie Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. A proud graduate of The College-Conservatory of Music at University of Cincinnati.
HOW TO WATCH
GHOSTLIGHT SERIES pass holders will receive an email receipt of purchase and a pre-show email 3-4 days in advance of each cabaret release. On the release date, pass holders will receive an email with a link to the cabaret video and passcode to unlock the performance for viewing on demand through August 31, 2021.
The videos, delivered thru VIMEO, will be able to be viewed on desktop, Apple iOS and Android devices.
