10 shows to help you get with the program

The Full Monty Oct. 15-Nov. 8: Of the local performing companies that specialize in musical theater, Theatre Latte Da tends to take the high road: original, modern work by New York composers; uplifting historical dramas; reworked operas. Stuff like that. But Latte Da can go populist, too, as is the case with this year’s season opener, a musical based on the 1997 movie about a group of unemployed guys who decide to make a little money by stripping. Director Peter Rotherstein says staging the show is a commentary on our troubled economic times. Sure, Peter.
