Theater Latté Da wins prized National Theatre Company Grant honor from Founder of the Tony Awards
September 3, 2013 – Theater Latté Da is pleased to announce that the American Theatre Wing, best known as the creator of the Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards, is awarding the Company with one of the 2013 National Theatre Company grants. Created by American Theatre Wing to recognize and support the most promising emerging theatre companies from around the country, the National Theatre Company grant honors 10 theaters annually. Companies chosen to receive the $10,000 grant have articulated a distinctive mission, cultivated an audience, and nurtured a community of artists in ways that strengthen and demonstrate the quality, diversity, and dynamism of American theatre. “The recognition from the American Theatre Wing is a tremendous honor,” said Peter Rothstein, founding Artistic Director of Theater Latté Da, “We are humbled to share this award with colleagues from around the country who are creating adventurous work and making a significant impact in their communities.
