Theater Latte Da 2013-14 season brings back faves, new creations

Look for something old, something kinda new and something very, very new in Theater Latte Da's 2013-24 season.
The very, very new is "NEXT: New Musicals in the Making," a program of in-development musicals (to be announced later) that will be presented in the spring of 2014. The kinda new are "Our Town," a version of the Thornton Wilder classic with songs added in a new take on the play by Peter Rothstein and Denise Prosek (it's not, incidentally, the musical version of "Our Town" that includes the song "Love and Marriage"), as well "Steerage Song," a docu-musical by Rothstein and Dan Chouinard, that premiered in a concert version in 2011 and that kicks off the season in September.
The old favorites are a production of "Cabaret," in partnership with Hennepin Theatre Trust, and "All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914," which has become a holiday standard for Latte Da. For information or to purchase season tickets, call 612-339-3003.
